Edmonton woman goes missing in Arizona
By CLARA HO, SUN MEDIA
The Edmonton Sun

EDMONTON - A 63-year-old Edmonton woman has been missing for several days in Arizona, where she winters with her husband.

Police in Surprise, Ariz., said Leslie Widynowski was last seen Wednesday morning at her home.

Her vehicle, a silver 2004 Lexus ES 330, was also gone.

According to family in Edmonton, Leslie and her husband Ken have spent the past two or three winters in Arizona.

"I talked to Ken this evening. He's not doing so good," said William Widynowski, Ken's uncle.

The couple were due to return to Edmonton on Dec. 14 for Christmas, William said.

"She's a nice lady, kind and jokey and not miserable," he said.

He added that posters bearing Leslie's face have been plastered around the couple's neighbourhood in Surprise.

Police describe Leslie as a white female, five-foot-two and about 125 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes.

Arizona media outlets reported that Leslie's car only had half a tank of gas and that there had been no activity on her bank accounts.

It was considered unusual for her to take off without telling anyone.
