3 bodies found in Quebec

BUCKINGHAM, Que. — Police officials in the Gatineau region are investigating the discovery of three bodies found in neighbouring Buckingham.

Police received a call around 1:50 p.m. ET and responded to a Nixon Road residence where they discovered three bodies — a man and a woman in their 60s, and another woman in her 40s.

Police say the investigation has just begun and are not yet calling it a murder investigation.

Neighbours identified the occupants of the house as Jean-Claude Vallee and his wife Paulette. There was another woman in the house, believed to be their daughter, who was over for the holidays.

They have lived in the home for the last four or five years.

Pauline Hewson lives next door. She says the elderly couple was quiet "and mainly kept to themselves."

Hewson said she was alarmed to arrive home around 1:30 p.m. ET Wednesday. At that time, there was a fire truck, three police cars and two ambulances in front of the home. At first, she thought it was a fire.

It quickly became obvious that there was more to it when no one seemed to be doing much "rushing around."

Two more police cars arrived on the scene. Cops put up yellow police and blocked off both ends of the short road.
