Ferry service resumes in Halifax
By QMI Agency

Things have apparently calmed down by early afternoon in Nova Scotia as ferry service resumed and power has been restored at the Halifax Pock Wock Water Supply plant.

By 3p.m. local time, tropical storm and wind warnings have been lifted by Environment Canada for Luenburg County in southwestern Nova Scotia.

Still, many parts of the province are left to deal with the storm's aftermath, which includes power outages and fallen trees. Public parks are also closed as damages are assessed.

Wind and tropical storm warnings for the central and eastern parts of the province are still in effect.
