Man charged in death of Canadian found in suitcase
By QMI Agency

UK police say that 41-year-old Youssef Ahmed Wahid had been charged with the murder of 28-year-old Fatima Kama, whose body was found in a suitcase abandoned on the third floor of Heathrow Airport's parking lot in 1999. (HANDOUT)

Police have charged a suspect in the death of a Canadian singer whose body was found in a suitcase at London's Heathrow Airport in 1999.

Youseff Ahmed Wahid, 41, is charged with the murder of 28-year-old Fatima Kama.

Kama's body was discovered in a suitcase on a luggage trolley in a car park on July 17, 1999.

Post-mortem examinations showed she'd been stabbed 10 times.

Wahid is set to appear in court Sept. 10.

Wahid was arrested a few days after the body was found, but he denied having anything to do with Kama's death. He was released, and went on the lam.

His brother, Abdel Ahmed, was also arrested in 1999, but was never charged.
