WINNIPEG -- A second person has filed a complaint against a Manitoba judge at the centre of a local sex scandal.
The Canadian Judicial Council received the complaint several days ago, a spokesperson for the council confirmed Wednesday.
The judicial council provided no further details about the second complaint.
Associate Chief Justice Lori Douglas stepped down from active duty following revelations her husband, Jack King, posted nude pictures of her on the Internet and tried to lure a client into a sexual relationship with her in 2003.
Douglas was still in private practice when the pictures were posted. The pictures have long since been removed.
King claims in court documents Douglas was unaware of his actions.
Alex Chapman, the man King has admitted approaching about having a sexual relationship with his wife, has launched a massive lawsuit against the couple and their former law firm, Thompson, Dorfman, Sweatman. He previously filed complaints with the Manitoba Law Society and Canadian Judicial Council.
The CJC, which is already investigating Chapman's complaint about Douglas, did not elaborate on the contents of this latest complaint against her.
"It's up to the complainant to make it public and then we would respond to it," the council's spokesperson said.
"Given the nature of the issue, it has been forwarded to the same member of the conduct committee reviewing the initial complaint."
