The body that was discovered Saturday in a wooded area in southeastern New Brunswick has been identified as missing woman Sabrina Patterson.

The RCMP said in a statement that an autopsy is being conducted to find out the cause and time of death. Patterson was last seen on Oct. 29 in Moncton.

No charges have been laid in connection with her death.

Patterson's ex-boyfriend, 31-year-old Fred Prosser briefly went missing on Nov. 1 before being found near his home last Thursday. He was charged Friday with assaulting Patterson and stealing her phone, along with breaking an order not to go near her.
