TORONTO — A Mississauga, Ont., man who went missing last week has been found dead in a Michigan dump.

Kevin Joseph Arendt, 38, was last seen Wednesday leaving a bar in Mississauga around 10:30 p.m.

Investigators have reportedly said the body was likely brought to the Brent Run landfill -- located about 100 km north of Detroit -- along with a trucked-in shipment of trash from Canada, and was discovered by landfill employees.

Police in Ontario said foul play isn't suspected.

Const. Erin Cooper did not reveal why police have ruled out foul play.

Cooper said Tuesday that Arendt's family have been notified of the grim discovery.

The autopsy on Arendt, done in the U.S., reportedly did not reveal anything criminal in nature.

Between 60% and 80% of Brent Run's garbage comes from Canada, particularly from the Toronto area, reports say.
