Dead dog with rock tied to leg found in lake

SUDBURY, ONT. - Provincial police are investigating after a dead dog with a rock tied to its leg was found in a lake southeast of this city over the weekend.

The small dog, white with brown spots, was found Saturday afternoon floating near Musky Island in the west arm of Lake Nipissing in St. Charles, Ont., police said. It appeared to be a terrier.

The dog was weighed down with a rock attached to one of its legs.
