Teen fatally hits sister, 17, with car: T.O. cops
By Maryam Shah, QMI Agency

TORONTO — A 17-year-old girl died after a car driven by her older sister hit the teen while she was on the sidewalk.

An 18-year-old woman was driving a Toyota Camry at 6:45 p.m. Sunday when the car mounted a curb and struck the girl.

The teen was walking on the sidewalk on Attwell Drive when she was hit, said a Toronto police spokesman.

Police have seized the vehicle for their investigation.

"My understanding is there's no alcohol involved, no drugs," said Sgt. Graeme Philipson, who added the driver is co-operating with police.

He said the victim was pinned under the Camry before being freed. She was declared dead at 7:45 p.m.

He said one person witnessed the collision.
