Two dead in alleged murder-suicide
By Nadia Moharib, QMI Agency

(QMI Agency Files)

CALGARY - Medicine Hat Police are investigating a murder-suicide shooting in which two men have died.

Summoned by a 911 call placed by a caller saying a man had been shot, police arrived to a home just before 8 p.m. where they found one man dead and another in serious medical distress.

Forty four-year-old Aaron Matthew Eremenko of Medicine Hat, was taken to hospital, but later died from his injuries.

Inside the home police also found the body of 54-year-old Donald Wayne Neufeld, also of Medicine hat.

It is believed Neufeld died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound and Eremenko was murdered.

Crime scene investigators were scouring the scene Saturday and autopsies have been scheduled for Monday.

Police said the confrontation stemmed from a dispute, indicating the two men knew each other.
