Residents evacuated after military ordnance found in Lethbridge, Alta., home
By Dave Dormer, QMI Agency

CALGARY - Canadian Forces members were called in to assist police in Lethbridge, Alta., after military ordnance was found in a home.

Police were called Friday to a residence by a neighbour who hadn’t seen a man who lived in the home for a few days.

When cops went inside, they found the ordnance.

Neighbouring buildings were evacuated, however people were allowed back to their homes Saturday morning.

The size and type of ordnance was inventoried by staff with the Department of National Defence but the exact details of the equipment removed has not been released.

Military police were called in to inspect the home.

Lethbridge is about 200 km southeast of Calgary.
