Conservative Conference champion Sir John A. Macdonald fended off Liberal Conference champion Lester B. Pearson to take the title as Greatest Canadian prime minister - as voted by you.

Although no prime minister was without some controversy more votes were consistently cast for Sir John A. Macdonald than any other prime minister at each stage of the tournament.

In one of the closer matches of the tournament, Conservative Conference champion Sir John A. Macdonald edged Liberal Conference champion Lester B. Pearson by a tally of 2,229 to 1,978.
