Man dies in skiing accident on Tranquility Run

An Aurora man died after a skiing accident on Blue Mountain near Collingwood Tuesday.

According to police, the 48-year-old man was on Tranquility Run at Blue Mountain Resort when the accident happened around 1 p.m. They provided no details as to what happened.

He was attended to by other skiers and the ski patrol before he was taken to hospital, where he died.

The run was closed to the public for the rest of the day, and the investigation is continuing.
