Wildlife officer shoots aggressive moose in Alta.
By AARON HINKS, QMI Agency

Grande Prairie RCMP and Peace Officers had their hands full Sunday trying corral two full-grown bull moose on the south end of Grande Prairie, Alta. The two wandered through backyards and alleyways and grazed before eventually finding their way to Bear Creek with some encouragement from officers. (ADAM JACKSON/QMI AGENCY)

A Fish and wildlife officer shot and killed a moose Tuesday after the 900-pound bull reportedly charged a man and rammed into a house in this city on New Year's Eve.

The moose had at least one parent concerned for his children’s safety.

“I was in the kitchen and I heard a thump against the side of my house, a bang, bang,” said Ward Redwood. “I could see in the reflection of the TV, there was this big black mass.
