Langdon Hall Chef Jonathan Gushue missing
By QMI Agency

Chef Jonathan Gushue. (Handout)

Police are searching for a prominent award-winning Canadian chef they say has been missing for a week.

Jonathan Gushue, 41, was last seen in downtown Toronto on New Year's Eve.

Gushue has been the executive chef at Langdon Hall, a luxury hotel in Cambridge, Ont., since 2005.

The Georgian College grad was named a top 10 rising star by a Canadian restaurant industry magazine in 1999. He worked at restaurants in England and Japan before heading up kitchens in his native St. John's, N.L., and at Four Seasons properties in Vancouver and Toronto.

The father of three is described as white, about 5-foot-10, 180 lbs., with short dark hair and blue eyes.

Police say his family hasn't heard from him since Dec. 31 and are concerned for his well-being.

Gushue may also be going by the name of Jonathan Herder, his middle name.
