Three charged with abduction of pregnant teen

Three people face several charges after a pregnant teen went missing from her Saskatchewan home Thursday night.

On Saturday, the RCMP said the teen's 16-year-old boyfriend had been been charged with abduction, break and enter, and possession of a weapon. He will appeart in court on Monday.

Police said a second 16-year-old male from Maple Creek, Sask., who was arrested on Friday evening has been charged with

abduction and break and enter. He is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 14.

A 38-year-old woman from Maple Creek who was arrested on Friday evening in Swift Current has also been charged with abduction, police said in a statement. Her court date is set for Feb. 14.

An Amber Alert had been issued by Saskatchewan Mounties Thursday after they said the 14-year-old teen, who is eight months pregnant, disappeared from her Maple Creek home.


That same night, the boyfriend's family brought the teen and her alleged captor to an RCMP detachment in Swift Current, Sask.
