Canadian watchdog offers ideas for reserves

WINNIPEG - A taxpayer's watchdog is urging the federal government to overhaul its policies to end aboriginal poverty.

"The dysfunctional reserve system and its terrible results is Canada's most shameful legacy," said Colin Craig, Manitoba director of the Canadian Taxpayers Federation.

To address poor housing and living conditions on reserves, the CTF suggests five ideas for change:
