CALGARY - Co-workers helped emergency crews find the scene after a young man accidentally shot himself in the chest with a nail gun while working on a townhome under construction in a new community.

The man in his 30s was at a job site in Skyview Ranch when a nail gun he was holding accidentally fired, EMS spokesman Stuart Brideaux said.

“It ended up striking him in the chest (with) an approximately three-inch nail,” he said.

“He may have been descending a ladder when it happened.”
