More than 50,000 baby strollers are being recalled in North America because a button that holds the carry handle in place can pop out.
The handle can become detached on one side of the Bugaboo Cameleon and Bugaboo Donkey prams, posing a potential falling or choking hazard, Health Canada said in a statement Tuesday.
Bugaboo said 58 customers reported that the white button popped out when the carriers were placed on the ground or on an unstable surface, but it has not received any reports of injury.
About 4,440 were sold in Canada, and another 46,300 were sold in the U.S. The affected models were sold between September 2009 and June 2012 (Cameleon) and from January 2011 through December 2012 (Donkey).
Bugaboo said on its website customers should immediately remove the carry handle from the stroller and contact them for a free replacement handle, with an "improved" design.
