B.C. man crashes cars into two police cruisers
By QMI Agency

A 31-year-old B.C. man is in police custody after allegedly driving two stolen cars into two different cop cars.

Police say the chain of events began just before midnight on Saturday when members of the Ridge Meadows RCMP located a stolen van. An officer in an unmarked police car followed the van when, without warning, the suspect reversed into their cruiser.

Police say the suspect then drove towards the end of the cul-de-sac where he abandoned the van and drove off in a second vehicle.

As he was trying to drive off, the suspect crashed the second stolen vehicle into a second police vehicle.

"What I can tell you is at no time were police involved in a pursuit," Supt. Dave Walsh told the media. "During the incident, a police officer discharged his service pistol. The suspect was not injured due to the discharge of the police firearm, but did sustain minor injuries in the crashes. He was treated in hospital, and is now in police custody."

The suspect is expected to appear in court on Monday.
