TORONTO - Oasis Aqualounge is not the kind of sex club to leave you running for hand sanitizer after a visit.

With bowls of condoms, lubricant and disinfectant wipes in every room, the multi-storey adult playground on Mutual St. is cleaner than a gym.

It also has more rules: No photography, ask once only, and for University of Toronto students Monday night, the age limit for entry was between 19 and 35.

By evening, the 189-person venue was at capacity, with a long line outside.

The event — hosted by U of T’s Sexual Education Centre, a non-profit student group, for sexual awareness week — charged a $5 admission for U of T students, a huge dip from the usual $20 for couples on student Mondays. For the most part, students milled through different rooms, grabbed drinks, examined sexual props, and sat in the sauna.

“If people want to have sex, they can, and they can do it in as safe an environment as you can provide for them,” SEC spokesman Dylan Tower said, adding there was zero tolerance of harassment.
