OTTAWA — Two Ottawa private school teachers tried to hush up a student-on-student, hotel-room sex assault, disciplinary documents claim.

Ian Middleton and Alyssa Novick could be kicked out of the profession for their roles in an alleged Ashbury College coverup in 2007.

Disciplinary proceedings brought against them by the Ontario College of Teachers began Monday in Toronto.

The then-16-year-old victim was on a field trip to Boston on Nov. 16, 2007, with other students of the upscale private school when he was attacked.

In a statement of claim filed in a $220,000 civil suit, the complainant says three students pinned him down while another digitally penetrated his anus. Another student videotaped the assault, which saw one teen plead guilty to assault and battery in a Massachusetts court in 2010.
