Resuce workers find two bodies in L'Epiphanie Que.

MONTREAL — As the search for two workers buried in a quarry turned into a recovery operation, a survivor told QMI Agency how he cheated death.

In an interview Wednesday from his hospital bed, Benoit Robert, 47, said he couldn't believe his eyes when his front loader began tumbling into the huge opening created by a massive landslide on Tuesday morning.

Two dump trucks and their drivers were also swept away in the sea of rock and earth.

"I felt the Earth vibrate," said Robert, who escaped with minor injuries.

"I asked myself if I was having trouble seeing. Then I saw the Earth open up. I was trapped in my vehicle."
