CALGARY - Sacrificing her life to save a man from drowning in Lake Erie has earned a Calgary woman a Medal of Bravery from Canada’s governor general.
The posthumous honour for Cynthia Riediger will be one of 46 such medals awarded Friday by Gov.-Gen. David Johnston in a ceremony at Ottawa’s Rideau Hall.
