CN train derails in Winnipeg
By QMI Agency

WINNIPEG -- Six CN rail cars ended up on their side in a derailment in the city's Fort Rouge area on Saturday.

The incident happened as a train was leaving CN’s Fort Rouge rail yard at about 10:25 a.m.

Two of the derailed cars remained upright, while six ended up on their sides.

A spokeswoman for CN said two trains were operating on adjacent tracks, but early indications are that there was no collision involved. The scene was expected to be cleared up later Saturday.

No one was injured and no dangerous goods were involved, she said. The cars were loaded with a variety of commercial and household goods, CN said.
