PETERBOROUGH, ONT. - Three cops in Peterborough have been charged with taunting and failing to help a man with a broken leg last summer.
Const. Isaac Teeple, Const. Eric Easterbrook and Sgt. Michael Jackson were each charged with two counts of neglect of duty and one count of discreditable conduct after an investigation into claims made by William Lomoro, 22.
Lomoro alleges he was beaten up by bouncers at Riley’s Pub in the city on Aug. 5, which left him with a broken leg.
He told investigators that he approached officers for help and was told to “walk it off.”
An Independent Police Review Commission investigation also heard that the officers referred to him as a “douche,” a “pussy,” and a “drunk idiot.”
