A Toronto disc jockey has drawn Cape Bretoners' ire for comments he made about a beloved local autistic YouTube weatherman.

Frankie MacDonald, 28, is a celebrity in Sydney, N.S., known for his bellowing weather segments on YouTube, and frequent weather updates on his blog and Twitter account.

His videos have been viewed more than 3.4 million times and his YouTube channel has more than 10,000 subscribers.

But his parents told CBC his fame sometimes attracts negative attention, alleging he's been the butt of jokes on Kiss 92.5's Roz and Mocha show.
