The bull's-eye on Tom Mulcair's back was crowded with new darts Friday after the NDP leader called for tax hikes while shock waves from his recent Washington trip continued to invite harsh criticism.
Mulcair appeared to have won over one of Washington's top Democrats, Nancy Pelosi, who spouted NDP talking points shortly after their meeting.
She told a press conference Thursday it seemed "amazing" that Keystone XL pipeline proponents would claim the project would create "tens of thousands of jobs and reduce our dependence on foreign oil" — an almost identical line to that of Mulcair and his party.
Meanwhile in Canada, the pile-on that began the first day of Mulcair's trip only seemed to grow.
