17 Target stores set to open across Canada
By QMI Agency

Right on Target, eh!

Bargain shoppers will have to buy some patience if lineups at Target's previous store openings are any indication.

The U.S. bargain behemoth is set to open 17 more locations across Ontario on Tuesday, and four additional locations on March 28.

Most of them will have an on-site Starbucks and an in-store pharmacy along with clothing, home decor items and groceries.

Target opened its first three Canadian stores in Ontario earlier this month with a promise to offer prices "on par with" its U.S. prices — a disparity Canadian consumers have often found when comparing prices with those at U.S. stores.

Plans call for 124 Target stores to open across Canada this year, creating an estimated 27,000 jobs.

The Minneapolis-based retailer operates 1,784 stores in the U.S.
