CHATHAM, Ont. — Police have arrested a 66-year-old sex offender from Wisconsin who stopped in town for an oil change Wednesday morning and shared imaginary tales of his NFL glory.
Chatham Chrysler president Dave Tessier later discovered Britton D. McKenzie wasn't a former player and scout for the Green Bay Packers but a sex offender on the lam. He called authorities and McKenzie was later arrested in Sudbury, Ont.
Tessier listened to some of McKenzie's NFL stories while his car was getting an oil and filter change.
But later that evening after Tessier went home, he researched the customer and discovered he is a wanted sex offender from Sun Prairie, Wis.
