Two snow leopard cubs born earlier this summer are finally ready for their close-up.
Starting today, the male cubs — born at the end of June — are available for public viewing at Assiniboine Park Zoo. The public debut comes after the cubs and their mother, Batu, spent several weeks in their den.
“Both cubs are happy, healthy and doing well,” said Gary Lunsford, general curator and acting director of zoological operations at Assiniboine Park Zoo. “We know the public has been patiently waiting for their debut and we are very excited to introduce them today.”
The zoo is holding a name-those-cubs poll on its Facebook page, with the winning names to be announced later this week.
