MONTREAL — Former prime minister Brian Mulroney and his wife Mila are selling their opulent home and it won't come cheap.
Canada's former first couple is asking $7.9 million for the five-bedroom, five bath residence in Westmount, a tiny municipality on the southern face of Mount Royal that's entirely encircled by the city of Montreal.
The 1950 construction features a large in-ground pool, a gym and a library.
The Mulroneys moved in from 24 Sussex Drive after Brian left office in 1993.
The home is now valued at $4.1 million, including $1.8 million for the land.
They stand to make an impressive profit since they originally took out a $1.3 million mortgage.
Whoever buys it had better have plenty of disposable income because the annual property tax bill is more than $35,000.
