More burgers are being recalled over fears they could contain E. coli.
Compliments brand Super 6 burgers, President's Choice Thick and Juicy burgers and Webers Bucket of Burgers have been added to a recall from the Canadian Food Inspection Agency. Last week the CFIA warned consumers not to eat Compliments Super 8 burgers.
The burgers were made by Toronto company Belmont Meets Ltd., and were sold nationally.
Anyone unsure if they have affected burgers should call the retailer.
The strain of bacteria is E. coli 0157:H7 and is the same one which contaminated the drinking water in Walkerton, Ont., in May 2000. The E. coli contamination resulted in the deaths of seven people, and 2,300 others became sick.
