VANCOUVER -- Homicide cops in Surrey, B.C., are warning sex workers to take extra precautions after a woman was found murdered last week near the city’s Langley border.

Sex worker Lisa Ann Zielke, 41, was last seen alive getting into a vehicle on King George Boulevard near 91st Avenue on Wednesday around 6:15 p.m., police said. Late the next morning, her body was discovered in the parking lot of Hi-Knoll Park near several pieces of discarded furniture.

Police have made no arrests and no suspect descriptions have been released.

“Investigators believe that the timeline of when Lisa Ann was in the park is very close to the timeline that the furniture would have been dumped,” Sgt. Jennifer Pound said in a statement.

Police want to speak with whoever dumped the furniture as they may have more information on the case.

Pound added homicide police and Surrey RCMP were distributing posters and speaking with sex workers to ensure their safety.
