TORONTO -- She said she didn't want any tears at her funeral, but there was hardly a dry eye among the 500 mourners at the service for Olivia Wise on Tuesday.

The 16-year-old schoolgirl lost a two-year battle with brain cancer on Monday.

Her last days were spent at home, surrounded by family and close friends.

Just months earlier, Wise captivated the world by recording Katy Perry's "Roar" in a professional studio with the help of a family friend.

The resulting video -- originally meant for family and friends -- racked up more than a million hits on YouTube, propelling the song onto iTunes and Wise's name onto headlines around the world.
