TORONTO -- He has never denied that he's addicted to sports.

Mayor Rob Ford will be making a weekly habit of joining "The Sports Junkies" show on a Washington, D.C., sports radio station to talk football picks starting Thursday morning.

The announcement was made on the show on 106.7 The Fan Wednesday morning.

Ford -- a huge football fan and former high school coach -- has gained international infamy for his ongoing crack cocaine scandal.

In the last month, Ford has admitted to smoking crack cocaine and buying illegal drugs since being elected. Despite calls for his resignation, Ford has refused to step aside and has repeatedly denied he is addicted to drugs or alcohol.

"The Junkies were elated to announce Wednesday they'd be joined by Mayor Ford, an avid sports fan, on a weekly basis to talk sports and give his NFL picks," read a story on the local CBS website.
