OTTAWA — Justin Trudeau may be living proof that absence makes the heart grow fonder.

The Liberal leader has been elusive on the Hill this fall, making it to question period an average of twice a week — less than both Prime Minister Stephen Harper and NDP Leader Tom Mulcair. Trudeau's absenteeism is leading to speculation about what he's been doing with his time.

Trudeau explained he doesn't believe proceedings in the House are adequately addressing Canadians' needs and has been characterized more by partisanship than productivity of late.
