LONDON, Ont. -- Some 4,500 Ontario health-care workers who have been off the job since Dec. 11 will be headed back to work this week.

Red Cross Care Partners and Service Employees International Union -- representing nurses, therapists and community support workers who visit the sick and elderly in their homes -- will work with an arbitrator to settle the labour dispute.

And while they don't yet have a new contract, employees will return to work on Friday as they await the start of arbitration in January.
