Already soaked Maritime provinces are in for even more rain.

Environment Canada has issued a rainfall warning for the southern parts of Nova Scotia and parts of New Brunswick along the Bay of Fundy. Between 25 and 45 mm is expected to fall by Wednesday morning.

Rainfall warnings are also in place for parts of Newfoundland and Labrador.

Wet weather and flash freezing caused flooding in New Brunswick on the weekend. On Sunday, high winds and heavy rains knocked down tree limbs in Nova Scotia, and more than 20,000 Nova Scotia Power customers were without power. Roads were flooded in both provinces, and Halifax Stanfield International Airport reported some flight delays.

In Newfoundland and Labrador, some areas saw more than 70 mm of rainfall by Sunday. The City of Corner Brook closed a main bridge due to high water and put its hurricane response plan into effect for the second time in a week.
