Teacher vanishes after leaving for morning jog

TORONTO ó Concern is growing for a missing Whitby, Ont., man, an avid runner who set out for his morning run Monday and never returned.

Jeffrey Boucher is a teacher at Bowmanville High School, but did not show up for work Monday.

A Durham Regional Police command post is set up near the 52-year-oldís home in the suburb east of Toronto.

Police said he routinely goes for a jog in the morning, and believe thatís what he did Monday. Boucherís car and several items, including his cellphone, are still at the manís home.

Boucher is about six-feet tall, 180 lbs. with grey-and-white short hair.

Anyone with information in the case, or who may have had contact with him recently, is asked to police at 1-888-579-1520 or anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
