OTTAWA — Tricia Boisvert’s body has been found seven days after the Ottawa native went missing from her Montreal apartment.

Police sources on Thursday confirmed to QMI Agency that Boisvert was found dead near the Outaouais village of Quyon, just northwest of Gatineau, Que. Few other details were immediately available.

“I’m so sad,” said one devastated friend, asking for some time before making any more comment.

Montreal police confirmed Wednesday they were hunting for Philippe Steele-Morin, 30, and were treating the woman’s disappearance as a homicide.

The bubbly 36-year-old disappeared from her Montreal home on Friday night.

QMI sources say Montreal police on Wednesday arrested an accomplice who was with Steele-Morin on Friday.

Reports say a woman was seen being bundled into a vehicle outside Boisvert’s residence on Friday. One person was with her, another in the vehicle.

Steele-Morin, who a source called “troubled” and who has a lengthy history with police, is also a close friend of Boisvert’s.

Police suspect he might be in the Gatineau area where Boisvert lived before moving to Montreal.
