TORONTO - A Toronto restauranteur is sending his endorsement of Mayor Rob Ford back to the kitchen.

Louis “The King of Wings” Nemes fired off an open letter to Ford this week to let him know his antics have lost his support and the support of his customers.

Nemes — the owner of The Bistro on Avenue — made headlines back in 2010 when he came out cheering for Ford and slamming then-candidate George Smitherman’s campaign mailout with endorsements from the political establishment.

“Pub boss rips George,” read the headline in the Toronto Sun at the time. “Plans own postcard with ‘average joe’ endorsing Ford.”

But almost four years later, Nemes has had enough after Ford’s impaired rant caught on video at Steak Queen earlier this week.
