CALGARY - Legendary landscape photographer Ansel Adams was known to toil for hours in the darkroom, fixing “mistakes God made in establishing tonal relationships.”

Tongue-in-cheek blasphemy aside, Adam’s meticulously dodged-and-burned images had the world gasping over the beauty of the Rocky Mountains, the monochrome majesty of Yellowstone National Park and other natural areas leaving onlookers of the 1930s breathless with fascination.

Banff’s Paul Zizka may have started the Rocky Mountain buzz anew.
