OTTAWA - Deep cuts and radical changes to mail delivery across the country brought angry postal workers and their supporters to the steps of Parliament Sunday.

Thousands protested and railed against the Harper government, demanding the changes be cancelled.

"I could suffer the consequences, I could be cut off," said Luc Couture, from the Montreal area, who's worked for Canada Post for 12 years in home delivery.

"It's because they're talking about laying off 6,000 to 8,000 in a period of five years," he said.
