The NDP proposed about $500 million in budget changes Wednesday it said are in line with the Conservatives' agenda and could be integrated into the Feb. 11 federal budget.

The opposition was less clear about its stance on corporate tax rates, however.

The NDP said its proposals were "practical" and they addressed themes the Conservatives outlined in the October throne speech, such as youth unemployment and defending consumers.
