TORONTO -- What happens in Vancouver stays in Vancouver.
Mayor Rob Ford was tight-lipped Sunday when approached by QMI Agency about recent reports about him drinking and talking nonsensically while at a Vancouver-area pub during his recent trip to the West Coast to attend a funeral.
Ford also reportedly disappeared at one point into the bar's staff washroom for more than an hour.
The embattled mayor and his brother, Councillor Doug Ford, shook hands with city residents during a stop at a restaurant in Toronto's east end.
Ford refused to answer questions about his behaviour during a Jan. 31 visit to Vancouver's Foggy Dew Irish Pub, which reportedly lasted into the wee hours of the morning.
He also refused to respond when asked about a vow he had made last November to stop drinking.
