There was little “common ground” evident between opposition parties and the governing minority Ontario Liberals Tuesday, suggesting the spring legislative session will end with a general election.

Premier Kathleen Wynne said she still intends to meet with opposition parties to see if she can find the support she needs from their benches to pass her spring budget.

“I’m not playing ‘Let’s Make a Deal,” that’s not what this is about,” Wynne said. “This is about putting in place a budget that I believe is responsible, that focuses on people’s priorities and that is jobs and making sure that they have the security that they need in the present and in the future.”
