OTTAWA - More hard times await a Liberal appointee in the Senate after new allegations surfaced he used a staffer get his erectile dysfunction meds.

Colin Kenny is already in trouble over a complaint of sexual harassment, but fresh accusations popped up after CTV reported on the contents of an investigation into inappropriate behaviour involving a former assistant.

The report said the staffer performed the duties of a servant, including hiring a handy man, fetching drug prescriptions such as pills to maintain an erection, paying a dog walker and other errands unrelated to Senate business.

"We wonder if that's a personal issue for him or if he's just got the taxpayers in mind when he's buying Viagra," said Gregory Thomas, national director of the Canadian Taxpayers Federation.

Kenny left the Liberal caucus last fall when an inquiry was launched after after the aide complained.
