Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau and his wife Sophie Gregoire welcomed the newest party member to the world Friday morning.

"Welcome to the world, little Hadrian. 8 lbs 3 oz," Trudeau announced on Twitter, along with a photo of baby's hand curled around one of his fingers. Siblings Xavier and Ella-Grace "couldn't be prouder."

Well-wishes were coming in from politicians of all stripes, including the Prime Minister:

 

 

NDP MP Robert Chisholm and Minister of Citizenship and Immigration Chris Alexander also tweeted their congratulations.

Hadrian was a Roman Emperor in the first century. He built Hadrian's Wall in northern England, marking the boundary of Roman Britain.
