TORONTO — Mayor Rob Ford made his first appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live after Sunday night’s Oscar telecast.

During his post-Oscar special, Kimmel told the audience the mayor — who gained global notoriety last year when he admitted to smoking crack cocaine — would be on his show Monday night.

“I can honestly say that I’ve never been more excited about a guest than I am for this one,” the U.S. comedian said.

Wearing a tuxedo, Ford then walked on stage waving at the audience.

“You’re on the show tomorrow night,” Kimmel told Ford.

“Oh, sorry Jimmy,” Ford said. “See you tomorrow, folks.”

He then walked off stage and Kimmel joked that Ford was a “little anxious.”

The late-night host has been cracking Ford jokes for almost a year and has repeatedly claimed he’s a big fan of the mayor and his antics.

“Let that be a lesson for you kids, God does answer your prayers if you pray hard enough,” Kimmel said.
